We booked our honeymoon through the Sandals Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We did not use a travel agent. At the resort, we had an all-inclusive package including room-service as well as indoor and outdoor poolside service. We stayed for six nights and had a fantastic time throughout the trip!

I purchased the engagement ring and wedding rings from Rogers and Hollands. I was very happy with the service and policies of this vendor. I was able to set up an account/payment plan to pay for the engagement ring. Because of this, I was able to upgrade the diamond to the one I really wanted to get her. I was very happy with my experience here.

Paster Conrad was our wedding officiant. He gave a beautiful homily and blessing during our wedding ceremony. When we said our vows to affirm our love, Pastor Conrad literally stepped back in awe. He was emotionally invested in our day-- and that made for a very personal and intimate service.

All of the men's formalwear was rented from what was formerly Gingiss Formalwear of Chicago. I'm a big guy, an ex-football player, as were most of my groomsmen. (One of my groomsmen rented a size 56 jacket)! Luckily for us, they had a big and tall section. We got a great deal on the rentals, a couple of them were free. They were able to fit everyone in the wedding party! The selection was excellent, and the service was decent. The staff allowed us to choose what we wanted, and they assisted us as needed. It was very straightforward.

Our rehearsal dinner was held at the Maggiano's in Old Orchard Mall. We were served buffet style calimari, spaghetti, pizza, and other Italian favorites. We got a great rate since we had more than 15 people-- this is mainly why we booked this venue for the occasion.

Jimmy Curry played a variety of music for our wedding reception, and kept his audience in mind the entire evening! We had a variety of ethnicities and ages of guests at our wedding, so he played hip hop, step music, and pop music to keep the crowd moving. We were relieved that he kept all of the music "clean," for our younger guests. We were very happy with his services. Good, Clean, Fun. Great for everyone!

Our wedding photographer, Lisa Lefkowitz was terrific to work with. Not only was she personable and accommodating, but she also captured all of the special (and in-between) moments of our day! The photos were spectacular. Our wedding was in the winter and we were able to get some great shots outside, as well. Lisa is an outstanding professional, and she is highly recommended.

We purchased our wedding invitations from Minted.com. We had them personalized with our engagement photo- a great way to do something different than the norm. Our invitations were adorned with Old English Calligraphy. We had 200 invitations made at $665, and we were very happy with the product.

Our wedding ceremony was held at St. Mary's Church in Evanston, as this was the church I have attended service at with my family for years. It is a small, quaint church on a corner. Although, we probably could have opted for a ceremony site with a greater capacity for guests, I couldn't imagine not being married at the Church I have attended for so many years. The day of the wedding, the heat was on a bit high- it was warm in the church, despite it being February. But this was only a minor glitch in what was a beautiful and personal ceremony.

The reception was held in a ballroom at the Hotel Orrington in Evanston. This hotel is often utilized by Northwestern University and is highly regarded. There was a formal pre-reception meeting held to discuss the formalities of the event. It helped us to understand the timeline and details of our reception. The Hotel Orrington was a near perfect site for the reception- the evening went beautifully! They were able to accommodate the special diet needs of all of our guests. I would highly recommend this venue.
